I’m sharing the results of the Simple Joe listener survey and talking about what you told me you enjoy most about the show, what surprised me, and what I learned from your feedback. Friday’s Top 10 remains a clear favorite, but I was genuinely surprised by how much you enjoy the Interesting Fact cold opening, along with Random Questions, Today in History, Daily Celebrations, Featured City weather, and the variety of having different formats throughout the week. Some features, including Cincinnati weather, Personal Development, Prove Me Wrong, and Faith Connections, received more mixed reactions, and I talk about why I still value having a show where every day doesn’t have to appeal equally to everybody. The part of the survey that meant the most to me was hearing so many listeners describe Simple Joe using the word “friend.” That’s exactly what I want this podcast to feel like: two friends talking about interesting things, ridiculous headlines, Top 10 lists, serious subjects, random questions, and whatever else comes up. I’m not planning to tear the show apart and rebuild it. Instead, I want to keep what’s working, keep experimenting, listen to your feedback, and make Simple Joe better without losing what it’s supposed to be in the first place: a friend on the other side of the microphone.
